  • COP 23 - UN Climate Change Conference

    6-17 November 2017 - the 23rd Session of the Conference of Parties (COP23), hosted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat, will take place at its headquarters in Bonn. FAO will provide technical advice to its member countries to support their involvement in the climate change negotiations, ensuring that the linkages between climate change, agriculture and food security are made. The agriculture sectors are key in addressing climate change. As a leader of the Marrakech Partnership thematic events on Agriculture and Oceans, FAO will facilitate dialogue and foster participation on Agriculture and Ocean issues. It will ensure the prominence of agriculture and food security at the SDG 2 High-Level Political Event. Side events will feature and showcase the work and expertise of FAO and advance multi-stakeholder engagement in FAO dialogue and solutions.
